Popping Poppers

Updated: May 18, 2020

It’s another beautiful day in Georgia!! Time to get out the grills, patio furniture and have some friends over (under 10 people of course. Thanks Covid). With friends coming over people are going to want to eat and snack all day. Here is my favorite appetizer ever! So easy and so yummy! I swear every time we have people over for dinner we will make these as a small appetizer for everyone to munch on. You really only need three ingredients to make these. Another way to add a little extra wow to these is by adding deer meat or steak in the center we didn't have any in the freezer or fridge so i just made them regular. Hope you guys enjoy this fun summer appy!

Ingredients

  • about 6 large jalapeno

  • a container of spreadable cream cheese

  • 12 pieces of bacon

  • little doe all purpose (I get this seasoning from an event that happens in Georgia every year called the buckaroma. I literally use this seasoning on everything. You can order this online at bigbucksauces.com) if you dont have this you can use garlic salt seasoning

  • tooth picks

Step by step

  1. Cut your jalapeno in half (long ways) and remove as much seeds you want for taste. (Trick: I leave a couple as I like a little heat).

  2. Take a spoon and spread a decent amount of cream cheese in the middle. (If you were putting deer or steak in the center this is the time you would add it on top of the cream cheese).

  3. Now you want to wrap your bacon from one end to the other. (Trick: if you have small jalapenos you can cut your bacon in half and then wrap it.)

  4. Put a tooth pick in each end to make sure the bacon doesn’t unwrap.

  5. Sprinkle both sides with the little doe seasoning.

  6. We cook these on the big green egg but you can easily cook on just a standard grill.

  7. These will take about 15 minutes to cook.

  8. Take tooth picks out, Enjoy!
