Zesty Chicken Drums

Sometimes marinading can be a little overwhelming and intimidating but it doesn't have to be. It can fairly easily. I find marinading before cooking really gives a piece of meat or vegetables their true flavors. I am not the best when it comes to this but I did find two combos that are amazing together and wanted to share with you guys. I like this marinade particularly on chicken. This was made for a group of friends that came over one Saturday for a cook out. Everyone loved them. I definitely will be making again on a hot summer night.

Ingredients

(made for 6 people) This makes two different marinades

  • 5 pounds of chicken drumsticks

  • 1/2 cup of Ken's Italian with aged Romano dressing

  • 1/2 cup of Ken's original Italian dressing

  • 2 tbsp of Big Buck Little Doe all purpose seasoning (You can order this online at bigbucksauces.com)

  • 2 tbsp of Big Buck Bold seasoning ( You can order this online at bigbucksauces.com)

  • 2 gallon size bags

  • Grill

Step by Step

  1. Split your chicken drums in half and place into two large gallon size bags.

  2. In one bag pour you Italian with aged Romano dressing and 2 tbsp of you little doe seasoning. Seal bag up tightly and shack very well. Make sure all pieces get seasoning coated all over it.

  3. In the second bag pour your original Italian dressing and big buck bold seasoning. Shack well.

  4. Set in fridge for 2 hours.

  5. I cooked ours on our egg as I wanted to make sure it had a nice smokey flavor. You can all do these on a tragger or regular grill also.

  6. Get your grill to temp 350 and place all drums on. Close lid and let cook in intervals of 5 minutes.

  7. Turn every 5 minutes.

  8. I found on our egg it took about 30 minutes to get our chicken to the temp of 165 170. Once you hit that temp you can take off grill and serve up with some tasty sides.

  9. Enjoy!
